What to Expect During Pregnancy Care

Your initial visit is 90 minutes and includes a comprehensive health history and assessment. Lab testing may be recommended to assess nutrient status, thyroid function, and overall hormonal health.

You’ll receive a personalized treatment plan designed to support a healthy pregnancy. This always includes guidance on high-quality prenatal supplementation with appropriate, absorbable nutrient forms and dosages. Education on pregnancy-safe foods, supplements, and herbs is provided, and all recommendations are carefully selected to ensure safety and avoid interactions.

Follow-up visits typically occur every 1–2 months, with shorter appointments as care progresses. These visits allow time to review labs, adjust treatment, and address new symptoms or concerns.

Acupuncture can be a helpful addition to prenatal care. It may support symptoms such as nausea, heartburn, swelling, constipation, and pelvic or back pain. Treatments are customized to your stage of pregnancy and individual needs.

Acupuncture is often recommended every 1–2 weeks, as symptoms can change throughout pregnancy, and may also be used in the final weeks to help prepare the body for labor.
